The Tangency Foundation is a nonprofit activism literacy organization founded on July 11, 2016 by a group of community stakeholders in Miami, Florida. Our organization realizes that a core set of skills, tools, and resources is needed for effective advocacy regardless of the issue, and that the most effective way to support equitable change is by empowering direct stakeholders through Activism Literacy - the intersection of skills and knowledge required to address the challenges that communities face, and an appreciation of the facts that not all communities face the same challenges, nor are the resources for addressing these challenges equitably distributed throughout. Our organization has adopted the Humanitarian Charter. and actively aligns itself with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda. In 2020 The Tangency foundation began the Activist HQ initiative in order to more effectively fulfil its mission.
