A group of committed group of neurodiversity advocates is developing a proposal for the Association of American Medical Colleges for a new neurodiversity initiative which would increase access to opportunities in medicine for neurodivergent stakeholders, increase tracking of representation statistics, and increase infrastructure for training and education on the subject for various stakeholder groups.
Depending on the success of this project, similar projects will be considered for other organizations in medicine, as well as organizations in other disciplines such as the Law School Admissions Council.
In September the group will be meeting with AAMC representatives to discuss the proposal.
